1. Information We Collect

UploadText collects the text and code snippets you upload to our service. If you register an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. We also automatically collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser types, and access times.

2. How We Use Information

We use your uploaded snippets strictly to display them back to you and anyone you share the link with (or the public stream, if you selected that option). We use server logs to monitor for abuse and ensure the security of our infrastructure.

3. Data Retention

Snippets are retained based on the expiration time you set during creation. Once a snippet expires, it is permanently deleted from our database. Snippets set to "Never Expire" are kept indefinitely, but we reserve the right to remove any snippet at our discretion.

4. Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information or uploaded snippets to outside parties, except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., hosting providers) or to comply with the law.

5. Security

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information and uploaded snippets. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.
